FEATURE - Resurrection Jukebox

What is the Resurrection Jukebox?  I'm glad you asked. Every morning around 8:15 or so I dig through the Mountain Stash to find an overlooked pop nugget from yesteryear to spin for you. Assuming I'm somewhat awake by this point in time, I'll give you a little musical history style run-down about the song and artist too. CLICK HERE to listen to the daily audio files!

FEATURE - "In Case You Wondered ..."

"In Case You Wondered" is a collection of random thoughts, sparkling insights and casual observations from me, Mike Casey.   You can hear "In Case You Wondered" every morning just before 7am. The topic changes everyday depending on how the mood strikes me and usually I find a song to tie in with the theme .  If you don't get up that early or would like to revisit a past episode CLICK HERE.

Fly Fish Colorado!

Always wanted to fly fish Colorado but never knew where to start?  Already an advanced fly fisher but looking for a new experience?  Take my advice, get in touch with the guys at www.theflyfisher.com

About 10 lucky Mountain Community Members (including my son Evan and I) went on a fishing expedition up in Pinecliffe with Ethan Emery (Director) and Anthony Bartkowski (Pro Guide) from the Fly Fisher's "Angling University" on Sunday April 27.

It was AWESOME!  Everyone caught at least one fish!  (Other than me, most people caught at least 2!)

Newbies like me didn't feel intimidated.  People with more skill didn't feel held back.  And both Anthony and Ethan took extra time with my son Evan not only to instruct him but to help untangle his line from the many "tree fish" he caught!

Seriously, I can't recommend the experience enough.

If Fly Fishing is something you're even moderately interested in, these are the guys to either get you started or take your skills to the next level!  (Email addresses for both Ethan and Anthony are on the fly fisher dot com website.

Extra special thanks to Bruce and Jeannie with The International Sportsmen's Expo for setting up this experience for the Mountain Community.  If you haven't been to the Denver Sportsmen's Expo before, you don't know what you're missing!

Mike Casey - A Wealth of Useless Information

So, like you, I've got my observations about things in the world around us.  Some of those observations are catalogued here under the heading "A Wealth of Useless Information".

Read my latest volume below and click on the ARCHIVE link at the bottom of the page for past volumes.  No salesman will visit your home.....

Volume 13 - "Casey's Random Thought Generator"

1. If anyone ever asks you your favorite Van Morrison song steer clear of the obvious answers....Tupelo Honey, Moondance, Crazy Love, etc. Instead say "I Wanna Roo You (Scottish Derivative)". (It's on the Tupelo Honey album) First, it's a great conversation starter, and second, it makes you look really music savvy.

That's actually how I got this job.....heh heh....suckers.....

2. My daughter Lily has a wooden dog on a string that she pulls around with her. Every night before she goes to bed she asks me to tie the wooden dog to the ladder on her bunk bed so the dog doesn't run away. In a nutshell, this is what I love about kids.
